Auto Italia Photo Competition - April 2021
Congratulations to the winners of our Auto Italia
Alistaire Foard of Canberra wins the bike section with a truly stunning, moody composition that just reeks of the potential power and excitement of a thoroughbred Italian MV Agusta motorbike. Well composed and great lighting that suits the purity of purpose of this bike.
Peter Bartold of Victoria wins the car section of the competition with a photo of his race car Fiat X-1/9. The idea of parking a pure Italian race car in Lygon St - Melbourne's Little Italy - outside an Italian cafe is pretty unusual and worthy of a photo. it was well composed, and there was a further juxtaposition of the "icsunonove" - the Italian pronunciation of X-1/9 - outside the Nova cinema.
Both photos were retouched just a little to suit the transition to metal signs, which have slightly different technical preparation requirements prior to printing. Both photos deserved a little bit of a border around them, and we couldn't resist the temptation of a tiny spot of colour by placing a subtle MV Agusta logo in the pic.
Each winner received their photo displayed as a 900mm x 600mm metal sign.
We had a lot of fun sorting through the entries and selecting the winners. Congratulations to the winners, and thanks for all who submitted an entry. We will be in contact with you all this week to arrange a little "something" to reward you for your entries.
